i Bought my Lenovo Legion Y520 in january 2019
then suddenly started to notice that my D drive was disappearing and re appearing on it's own ..
so i took it back to where i bought it and because it's still in it's warranty they fixed it
*or atleast they said they did*
Now the D drive doesnt exist and it's supposed to be downloaded from the lenovo vintage website/App
but i cant find it or atleast i dont know what to do..
i downloaded updates but not the drive itself.

Welcome to the Community Forums.
D drive is essentially just a data drive where orignal drivers are installed. Users can also store their personal data like files and pictures on the D partition for file management as discussed here.
Newer drivers can be downloaded in the support website along with other apps if you need it l;ike Lenovo nerve sense. Lenovo vantage and Lenovo explorer are additional OEM apps that you can also add if you like.
You can easily create a partition and name it D drive if you want while other prefer just one single C drive instead for simplicity. Having another drive partition is not necessary for the machines performance.
I hope this helps answer your query.

Well, it would seem very irregular.
How many harddrives do you expect it to have when you originally purchase it?
I will privately message you for the serial number so I can also check what you suppose to have and to compare with what you now got.
Did you call technical support to inform them of this?

Thanks for confirming my suspicion on the why the 1TB was disappearing in the first place.
