Hard freezing with my laptop (Lenovo Legion Y520 15IKBM GTX 1060+Intel HD 630)

Hey Guys,

I'm currently in Win 10 v1709 (build 16299.251) everything is working fine except raw input mouse problem in old games (fixed in 1803)


But in "every newer version above 1709" my laptop gets hard freeze randomly without any sign of anything wrong (drivers bios ETC everything is function and fine)
I've tried everything (clean installation of any new version of windows) with no luck, so inevitably I have to stick with 1709 until god knows when this issue will get a workaround by Microsoft insiders.

Is there anyone have the same issue like me ?

any reply to my issue would be appreciate.

PROBLEM SOLVED BY DELETING LENOVO ACPI DRIVER Smiley Indifferent

Hi,

 

This hard freezing problem happened when you are using your PC or when idling/sleep/screen off/locked? 

 

Which ACPI driver you uninstalled? Is it this one?

Yes i think this is the one

(even updating it through device manager still causes freeze)

 

This driver was causing much problems like:

 

1.laptop in IDLE mode HARD freezes

2.ALT+TAB from games cause HARD freezes

3.browsing and watching videos or listening to music=HARD freezes

and much more weird problems that i can't say.

 

now without it my laptop works like a charm Heart

 

i've downloaded the driver from my laptop's driver section

driver release date is for 2016 and it only works with below 1709 version of windows without problem

 

It's in the power management
