So, last year i bought this Ideapad Y700 Touch-15ISK gaming laptop and i really love it, just that i would like to make a small upgrade to it, like having a SSD (exclusively to load OS) and a HDD (to install games/software, etc), i just wonder if it's possible (if the hardware has the slot to do so).
Also i was wondering if i can replace it's graphics card to a higher-tier one (it came with a GeForce GTX 960M, was thinking to get the GTX 980M), as i was thinking to assemble a gaming PC, i thought it would be easier to me to just upgrade my gaming laptop (and save a lot more money doing so)
Thanks in advance

Hi Gab712 ,
It it possible to have an M.2 (NGFF -next gen form factor) as main OS boot and likewise with the HDD for additional storage as you have your m.2 slot available onboard.
Page 40-42 of the hardware manual would guide you on those available options for upgrade.
Storage specification ( page27) :
• 2.5-inch, 7 mm SATA III
• 500 GB / 1 TB, 5400rpm
• HYBRID 1 TB 5400rpm SSHD (8G)
• SSD, NGFF, 128 GB / 256 GB / 512 GB
With the GeForce GTX 960M graphics chip however, since it is soldered onboard , it cannot be upgraded without replacing the entire motherboard.
Hope this help answer your query.
