Ideapad y700 sleeping problem

2016-07-16, 5:42 AM

I've been having an issue with my 2 week old laptop. A few days after i got it, I downloaded games from steam to play and the laptop out of nowhere went to sleep. I was able to get it to turn back on by just clicking my mouse and logging back in. Ive changed my power settings so that the cpu wont be at 100% and made the display to never go to sleep. I thought I fixed it but it is still happening! It even went to sleep on me 3 times in like 20 minutes!

I cant seem to find a solution and I would like to return the laptop and get a full refund but I do not want to pay a restocking fee since i dont have the box!

Lenovo please help this issue is very aggravating!

It's ridiculous how many issues have been reported with the y700 :/

I am running two monitors using a displaylink setup and thought it might be something to do with this..

Its resumes fine.. but still annoying as will go to sleep after 5 minutes but power menu is set to 20 minutes if no activity.

Lenovo Y700 15-ISK Sleep problem

2016-08-23, 4:27 AM

Laptop goes to sleep when playing games. I did a clean install of windows, updated to the new "37" BIOS, updated all drivers, and it still persists. Lenovo chat support was abysmal, they didn't understand that I had drivers updated and just randomly decided to end my chat without further support. This is just so annoying,

All i can say is, my first experience with Lenovo has been horrible.
