Legion 5 15ARH05 - DisplayPort over USB-C not working properly

2020-09-15, 16:22 PM

I have Legion 5 with GTX1650 and Fujitsu P27T-7 monitor, which accepts either DisplayPort or DualLink DVI in native resolution (1440p).

I decided to buy USB-C to DisplayPort adapter and use it along with DP - DP cable to connect laptop with a monitor.
After plugging in, monitor seems to wake up but finnaly says "No signal" and secondary monitor is not visible in Windows. (manual "detect" does not help)

What's more interesting is that I tried plugging in the whole setup to Huawei P30 PRO (over USB-C) and it worked perfectly fine, so the issue seems to be related to the laptop itself.

Only things which comes to my mind is that I have faulty USB-C port in laptop or there is some software issue on laptop side, but all I've reinstalled all drivers from support website and I am running newest bios.
Do you have any ideas what's wrong?
