Legion 5 Pro 16IAH7H RAM and SSD upgrade

Hello to everyone. I bought a legion 5 pro 16IAH7H a few months ago and I would like to upgrade the DDR5 RAM and put a second internal PCIe 4.0NVMe 2280 SSD in the second free slot.  I have just a question. What is the maximum PCIe 2280 SSD that I can put in the second free slot ? 1Tb or 2Tb and which is the max ram that the PC supports. 32 or 64Gb DDR5. Thanks

Hi Fab_800,

The Lenovo Legion 5 Pro 16IAH7H supports up to 64GB DDR5 RAM. As for the SSD, you can install up to a 2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe 2280 SSD in the second free slot.

Please ensure that you purchase compatible parts to avoid any compatibility issues. You can use the Lenovo Parts Lookup tool to find compatible parts for your specific model.

If you need any further assistance or have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Best regards,

Re:Legion 5 Pro 16IAH7H RAM and SSD upgrade

Hi! I noticed that my laptop has a 512Gb SSD Type 2080, so the free one left is the 2242. In the specs it says:

Disk Type >>>>> Interface >>>>>>>>>>> Offering

M.2 2242 SSD >> PCIe NVMe, PCIe 4.0 x4 >> 512GB

M.2 2280 SSD >> PCIe NVMe, PCIe 4.0 x4 >> 512GB / 1TB

That means it can not support a 1Tb of 2242 type SSD?

About memory it says can support only 32Gb RAM, but you wrote it goes to 64Gb RAM or 2Tb storage (same here, 1Tb max accepted - specs sheet).

I would like to upgrade my laptop and I need to know what to buy

Thanks!

Hello there,

if I write "wmic memphysical get MaxCapacity" in the DOS prompt command I get 32 GB as maximum memory for the system and not 64GB. How is that possible? so if I installed 64gb it would be useless since the system only supports 32gb. Am I correct? thank you
