Legion 5 Pro video output options?

I'm wondering if anyone knows what is the best option for outputting video from my L5Pro to my external monitor. Its a Viewsonic XG2530 that is 1080p, 240hz DisplayPort input, 144hz HDMI input. I would prefer to keep the 240hz but if 144hz is the only thing possible thats ok. Is the USB-C output better than the HDMI output? I'm guessing a HDMI to DisplayPort cable would be the best choice but idk. Thanks for any suggestions.

Legion 5 Pro video output options?

I tried the USB C to DP 1.4 on the L5P and it works fine. My monitor is the G34WQC. I can even get 144Hz with a USB C to DP 1.2 which is impossible on the Asus ROG Strix G512. But the problem is sometimes my monitor just blackout briefly.

Re:Legion 5 Pro video output options?

use a USB-C to display port cable as the USB-C is display port 1.4 capable.

This will give you the capability to use 1080p up to 240hz.

be sure to switch from Hybrid mode to Discrete mode in the Lenovo Vantage app or the BIOS as this will then allow the usb-c to display out.

Using an HDMI to Display port cable will limit you to the capabilities of the HDMI port.
