For me it started with FSCN13WW, I think? In early February.

 

Current bios version is FSCN18WW.

 

@brokenaimbot I've had a repair offered under warranty, but Lenovo have sent me a shipping label with an incorrect address for collection/return. I've contacted UPS to arrange collection on Aug 13th from my actual address, but Lenovo "support" will not send me a correct shipping label, so I'm completely stuck.

 

I cannot send it off with an incorrect return address, yet Lenovo say there is nothing they can do. The address on their system cannot be changed.

 

Here are some emails replies I copied and pasted from support explaining they have an incorrect address:

 

Email #1:

 

"I understand your point sir but as mentioned before there is nothing that is in my power more that I can do .
At this point I can cancel your work order and case and reopen it. Still on labels will be same address even tough it´s mentioned in your address details .
 
Please let me know how do you want to proceed with this one?
 
Do you want from me to recreate everything for you or you want to proceed like this?
 
Thank you for your patience ."

Email #2:

"Don´t worry it will be delivered to you address. You´ll be inform by email when device is on it´s way to your home after the repair.
 
If you do have more questions please don´t hesitate to contact us"

 

Email #3:

"Thank you for contacting Lenovo Technical Support.

As mentioned before address is written correctly in our system where all details are taken to your label. That system is internal and you can´t make any changes.

So please follow procedure from email with booking confirmation. Call UPS and arrange collection whenever it´s ok for you in next 14 days. Due labels are valid just 14 days."

 


"Don´t worry it will be delivered to you address." I want that on record!

 

Again, the address label they've sent is incorrect. Obviously, I cannot share a screenshot, but how can I send it for return when it will likely be lost due to being returned to a different address?

 

This is actually very stressful. I'm not sure what to do at this point.

I hope these issues can be fixed with a bios update, we have to hammer lenovo untill they listen.

In my case i have issues like lagging throttling, voltage spikes since fscn18ww, i did not have any issues on fscn13ww

@AtLocke Did you submit the request though the support site https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/gb/en/servicerequest (login with your lenovo account)? They let me amend the address myself there if I wanted and you can update it through your profile details. The waranty isn't tied to the owner's address but to the machine serial number.

@cccat Yes, they say the address cannot be changed. So, UPS have updated the collection address their end, but I still need a correct label from Lenovo, which they say is not possible.

 

Those are direct copy and pastes from support. It is actually shocking.

 

How many people here would send a £1200 laptop off for repair knowing it would be returned to a wrong address? I'm not sure how to proceed.

 

Edit: I have just double checked and I have no option to change my address via my profile.
