Indeed. Definitely not buying Lenovo again if it doesn’t get fixed soon.

Hello @Minoos

That was the first major problem I had with this laptop back in Feb, I think? I started a thread about it.

For me, it would usually throttle to 0.38GHz after waking from sleep or hibernation. But 8/10 it only happened on battery power below 50-60% charge. Once plugged in it would spring back to life. Not always though... sometimes a restart was necessary. It was practically useless unless plugged in.

The problem... Thermal Throttling:

As you can see in red, thermal throttling was being triggered for whatever reason (BD PROCHOT), but if you look at the temperatures - 16-17°c average. Nowhere near throttling limits!

I know you won't want to hear this, but reinstalling Windows was the only fix for me. There is ThrottleStop, but that does not work for AMD machines. If you have an Intel variant it might be worth your time, but do some research first:

Good luck.

Hello @Minoos

**bleep**, sorry to hear reinstalling did not fix it.

Can you try HWiNFO to check for errors:

You can run sensors only. My guess is still Thermal Throttling.

It  may sound like a strange question, but are you using a third-party power adapter by any chance, or the one that came with your laptop?

Definitely not a user error. It started happening on my brand new laptop, not even a week in. Literally all I had installed was Steam. I was happy with my previous Lenovo Ideapad so I figured their gaming laptops will be fine too, I was wrong. Maybe they're ought to stay in the budget laptop category. After seeing how they refuse to acknowledge this issue I'm definitely not buying Lenovo again. I was naive enough to travel abroad immediately after purchase (assuming the laptop isn't completly useless) so I lost my withdrawal time frame but I will still try my best to get it refunded. I spent 2 hours using the laptop and 40 trying to fix it, ridiculous. I've tried all the methods in this thread and none worked for me. I didn't get to try the last two pages though (the laptop is sitting in local service for a week now so I couldn't try them) so they might work for some people I guess.

Another issue I can add to the list: not sure if others had this but my Ethernet port would completely die after a few minutes of use. It reverts backs to WiFi and fails to notice the cable (the cable is fine, so is the router, I tested with another machine) until its restarted, then it dies again. It seemed like this also starts to happen when the microstutters do but those start so soon that it might also just be a coincidence.

Have you guys read this article?

https://www.pcgamer.com/microsoft-says-its-fixed-an-issue-in-windows-10-game-mode-that-results-in-lower-frame-rates/

That's about the same time I began experiencing low frame rates and stutters, could this have been Microsoft's fault all along?

that's dev branch related iirc.

Lenovo needs to step in.

Has a fix been found, i have a Legion 5-15ACH6H Laptop (Lenovo) - Type 82JU and i am having similar issues. I have installed a fresh copy of windows on a new second drive to eliminate the original drive, removed all bloatware back to basics, and i am still having stuttering when playing music via an external controller Denon DJ controller, even sometimes moving the mouse across the screen can cause this. The place I bought it refuse to take back, where do i stand re my rights to get my money back, it is so random i can't waste anymore time looking. My older PC is just fine, i am suspecting either hardware issue or the GPU. Running latency mon this .sys file always comes up . wdf01000.sys is also shooting into red.(see image)
