Legion 7i RGB Pixel Issue

2020-10-29, 17:36 PM

The top right corner of my screen started showing this weird pixilation pattern about a month and a half ago but I ignored it hoping it would go away. It's since started to spread farther across the screen very slowly. It is most noticeable when there is something blue colored (such as the zoom icon) under the area but it is also slightly noticeable when there is red in the area. I can not see it when the area is white or black. It looks as though the red, green, and blue pixels have separated or something. It looks kind of like if you put your face really close to a wire mesh window screen but RGB.

I've attached images I took while performing a dead pixel test. https://imgur.com/a/tbJCbDp

Any help with this matter is appreciated. I'm not sure how to fix it.

Hi

I am having a similar problem. Did it turn out to be software or hardware?

Thanks

Andrew

I have a similar issue on my Legion 7i, though not as bad just yet. It seems the bottom right of my screen (around 5%) has rather visible pixels coming through.

If I take a screenshot, you can't see the problem so this means, at least to me, that it is definitely hardware related. I'm not really sure what the solution is outside of sending my laptop back to Lenovo for diagnosing it?

I had a similar experience... sent it for repairs and came back with a new panel however, its far from perfect. The hinge covers were crooked, and i recently realized that the panel isnt level on the top. The top right corner is a few mm lower than the left. So when you have a bright image its noticeable.

Moreover unit had several issues with it. So a bit disappointed with this purchase.
