Legion 7i - Terrible Ghosting With Gsync On, Overdrive Issue?

Hello, I just got the Legion 7i today and it's great except for the fact games are basically unplayable because of the truly awful ghosting that occurs when you have gysnc on, Blacks leave big smears across the screen and whites leave a halo effect. I have the Legion 7i 1087hh 2070 super mq 140hz

Pressing the overdrive button does absolutely nothing, I'm convinced it is just for show. I'm not sure how they can advertise '1ms response time' and then send a machine where the screen looks like this, and it's not just me, theres a couple of other people on Reddit with the same issue. I suspect it's just a software bug and overdrive either needs turning on or off. Does anyone have a solution for this? Thanks

Re:Legion 7i - Terrible Ghosting With Gsync On, Overdrive Issue?

The "Overdrive" feature in Lenovo Vantage is actually what's causing it.  Turn it off, there is no ghosting with G-sync.  Problem is, the software automatically "tunes" your settings, so this gets turned back on.

Need a way to disable the auto tuning of Vantage or, much more advantageous, would be for Lenovo to FIX the overdrive setting so the ghosting with Gsync does not occur.
