Legion Pro 7 16IRX9H RTX 4090 PCIE 4 x 2

Hello, I was looking at the configuration of the RTX4090 and I found that full load the video card is only assigned PCIe 4 X2, is this configuration correct, how much does it affect the performance of the video card?

Hi Loost!

Welcome to the Community!

Let's check this further. Uninstall other non Lenovo drivers that may automatically been installed on the system and manually install Lenovo drivers from the support page.

If same issue, set BIOS to defaults (access guide here / press Fn+F9 and Fn+F10 while inside BIOS screen). Compare testing values soon after restart to include any pop up notification for updates. Ensure to test performance with both power options on default and on high performance to compare.

Best regards,

Thank you for the update.

Could you share the model type of your Legion laptop? It would look like 81C70000RK or 20UD000BUS from the sticker underneath, Vantage, or by typing sysinfo using Windows search so we can check the exact model and specifications.

We will wait for your reply.

Best regards,

Re:Legion Pro 7 16IRX9H RTX 4090 PCIE 4 x 2

Thank you for providing the model type. Based on the information, it seems unusual for an RTX 4090 to be limited to PCIe 4 x2, as this could significantly impact performance. This was also confirmed by the respective team.

As it is showing as PCIE 4 x2, it may be best to report the issue to GPU-Z or NVIDIA Support for further checking. For additional reference, please check this link.

Let us know if you have further questions.
