The same problem is here, but I almost never use touchpad, so I didnt noticed it so far. Maybe you should try it under Linux, if the same thing happens, its maybe hardware related issue.
That is not a driver issue . It is a feature. Go to settings->devices->touchpad and change the setting to most sensitive. It should fix your issue.
Thanks, nope neither worked, trackpad works fine until I press and hold a key then stops until let go of the key. Think it might be a faulty trackpad, not sure? Presume everyone else can use both at same time?

I don't have a similar machine to look at... Instead of sensitivity, is there a "palm tracking" or "palm rejection" setting somewhere in your mouse properties?
