Legion Y530 Keyboard Driver

2018-07-23, 15:53 PM

I have done a clean install of Windows 10x64 on the Legion Y530 and installed all the drivers and utilities from the support page, including Vantage, for this model. Everything is working except for some oddities with the function keys. For example, FN+F11 will disable the trackpad, but doesn't display the brief notification that it has been disabled. FN+F8 should enable airplane mode, but this doesn't work at all. Can I get some help?

Here's two things for you to try that will hopefully bring you some resolve.

The first is to restart your computer and set your BIOS to the default settings and that they're up to date. If this does not work for you, try to Uninstall Lenovo Vantage and then reinstall it.

If the problem persists after that, comment back and I'll look into more solutions for you.

Hi,

I have a similar issue, but its a little different, instead of the volume botton always changing volume, and then acting as f1-f3 when I hit the fn botton, it is the other way around. So basicaly, if I want to use any of the multi media bottons on the top, like volume, brightness, things like that, I have to hold the fn botton. It is basicly a fn botton lock. I was really hoping to find a fix.

Thanks!

If I'm not mistaken, this is intentional on our gaming line since the F keys are sometimes used in games (i.e. Fortnite builds are by default on the F keys).

Do you have the Lenovo Vantage App (The Windows one that can do system update)? try installing that app

https://www.microsoft.com/store/productId/9WZDNCRFJ4MV

and installing any packages it wants, then doing the system update (If you haven't already). Once I receive my unit, I can also attempt to reproduce and then fix the issue.

I would guess a package is missing that isnt listed on the drivers page, but that isn't always the case.

I have managed to get the on screen display working after a clean install.

Installing Lenovo Vangtage (windows store app). lenovo utility from this thread   (Link Below)

https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles/wwlb090e.exe

After this, the hot key display for touchpad disable works.

EDIT: Got Airplane mode hotkey working by installing the driver found here https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds104669
