Legion Y740 Battery not charging and WIFI disconnections

2019-12-27, 2:16 AM

Hi,

A month ago i purchased the Legion Y740 ( 17IRHg) and everything was working fine, today i unplugged the laptop and suddenly it went off. I plugged it back and checked Vantage and there is a message in the battery section that says; A battery error has occurred . The battery cannot be charged/discharged. Replace the battery.   I was using  Conservation Mode because most of the time because i use the laptop plugged, i turned off this feature but the battery is still not charging.

I unistalled Vantage and installed it again but it did not work, i recently updated to bios V1.07 (before i was with the 1.06 version and everything was ok) and started to suffer with wifi disconnections and now this battery error, i rolledback to version 1.06 but i still have this battery error and wifi problems.

Could anybody please help me ? I want to know if there is a solution for this, i live in Peru so i want to be sure if my laptop have any solution or not to know if i have to ship it back to the states (i purchased it through Lenovo web page) for repair or exchange.

Thank in advance!

Contact the technical support for this. It seems that your batteries have some sort of hardware failure. Your warranty should cover that.
