Legion Y740 cannot undervolt CPU

2020-12-30, 7:01 AM

I've tried downgrading bios but fivr control is still locked in throttlestop.

Issues started occuring only after I started dual booting.

I've turned off secure boot and intel rapid storage tech if it helps.

Hello Wesnik,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Try to load default settings in the BIOS.

BIOS reset
- Press the power button to completely shut down the unit.
- Press the Novo Button - The button can be reached/clicked by an unfolded paperclip or similar.

- If your device does not have a Novo button. Press F1 or F2 repeatedly on startup to enter the BIOS.
- Choose the BIOS setup and navigate to the EXIT tab
- Press "Load Default Settings"
- Save & Exit changes

Sometimes resetting the BIOS helps solve this issue.

It's disabled as a security feature.

You'd need to modify the BIOS like this.
