On battery no but less heat more perfomance. I think about 2 to 3 hours. Before these tweaks battery indicator showed that battery will last about 1h 30mins(100 percent!). And now 4 hours(ofcourse if you do something it will be less).

Re: Legion y530 with GTX1060

Hi Igor,

Have you found some solution for your issues?

I'm very interested in 1060 model but it sounds like the notebook body doesn't suite to the new hardware.

Re: Legion y530 with GTX1060

No unfortunatly I returned it and service says its a factory battery issue, they send me another one but the same a little longer autonomy about 3h office jobs, but that is **bleep**, so now in a process returning that one also.
going for HP Omen if everything goes fine and I dont have any trouble with returning it..so sad but cant agree to that miserable battery life for a laptop priced allmost 2000E.

cheers guys

Re: Legion y530 with GTX1060

Thanks for the update. Ok, perhaps I will change my mind to another option. Maybe, new Y730 will resolve all those issues in this Nov/Dec.

Re: Legion y530 with GTX1060

no problem, otherways laptop is very good doens heat up as mutch is really fast in win10, but that battery life is just killing his usability as lets say mobile workstation or gaming machine
