For my y700 laptop, I recently formatted the os disk and reinstalled windows 10. But before I could do updates, and at random intervals, the cursor moves to the middle of the screen and the computer freezes. I can't get any drivers because the computer freezes before it can finish installing. Any solutions?

Hi there, Calebc -
Thank you for writing in to the Lenovo Forum - happy to have you here today.
Can you run the Lenovo diagnostic tool for hardware & check for any errors.
Did you check in safe mode?
Update us how it goes.

I managed to stop the freezing by switching to UMA graphics, but now I can't use my graphics card- it appears hidden in Windows Device Manager, and the AMD autodetect doesn't see it. I used windows update and have all the latest drivers, but the graphics card still does not work. The status of the device according to the device manager is "the hardware is not connected to the computer (Code 45)." Is there any way to make it reconnect without taking apart the computer?
