Lenovo Legion 7 not turning on

I forcefully shutdown my laptop using the power key and left the laptop in this state. After 2 days I tried to start the laptop and it is not turning on. I have tried multiple things like pressing power key for some time with or without charger, remove the battery and plug the charger but nothing happened. Only the backside icon turn on when the power button is pressed and the power cord icon turns on when I connect the charger. Also, after trying to turn on the laptop these icons continue to turn on and off periodically. I have multiple solutions provided on the internet and nothings seems to work. I also left the laptop to charge for sometime.

Re:Lenovo Legion 7 not turning on

could be you need to find a tool to hard reset the machine

access is a small hole on the bottom

service manual can be of help

Windows 11 24H2 will require 8GB RAM and Nahalen (45nm, 2008) or better. Next tier is x86-64-v3 is Haswell (22nm) and above, x86-64-v4 is Skylake (14nm) and above. Machines older than Intel Coffee Lake are heavily impacted by mitigations for Spectre and Meltdown. Intel Alder Lake and better runs Windows 11 really good using 64GB memory

Re:Lenovo Legion 7 not turning on

Hi guest33933,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums.

I'm sorry to hear about the issue you're experiencing with your Lenovo Legion 7. It seems like you've tried a lot of troubleshooting steps already.

One thing you could try is to perform a static discharge. To do this, disconnect the charger and battery, then press and hold the power button for about 60 seconds. After that, connect the charger (but not the battery) and try to turn on the laptop then try a different power outlet or a different charger.

If this doesn't work, it's possible that there might be a hardware issue. I would recommend reaching out to our technical support team for further assistance. You can submit a service request for technical support here. or you can visit a Lenovo-authorized Service Center to have it checked physically for thorough diagnostics, maintenance or repair.

Best regards,

Jhay02_Lenovo

Re:Lenovo Legion 7 not turning on

I tried everything above mentioned or in other forums, but nothing helped. I was going for opting local laptop technicians but didn't have time. After few days I randomly powered on the laptop, and it turned on. Don't know what the reason was. Maybe I drained the battery completely before turning it on again. Hopefully this helps you.

Re:Lenovo Legion 7 not turning on

Could be a battery problem or the PSU is borked

PSU can be checked with a multimeter

Re:Lenovo Legion 7 not turning on

In my case the utility lights turned on every time I press the power button. If your case is similar, try completely draining the battery like I did. Then you can opt the motherboard option.

Re:Lenovo Legion 7 not turning on

If you can get into the UEFI then try reset to optimal settings
