Lenovo Legion Y520 SSD

Hello, I own a Lenovo Legion Y520 (the one with 2tb HDD) and I would like to add an SSD to it as well. From what I've read, if I want to keep my HDD and add an SSD, I will need an M.2 type SSD. Also, I have found an SSD that I think would be compatible with my Y520, but I wanted to ask here before buying it. The SSD I'm talking about it the SSD WD Black 256GB PCI Express 3.0 x4 M.2 2280. I will also attach a picture of it, so if anyone could tell me if it's compatible, I'll be very thankful.

Re: Lenovo Legion Y520 SSD

Hi Milici,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

You may have reviewed the discussions here and here.

Same WD PCIe M.2 NVMe was also tried by fellow member Ganesh here (message48).

You don't have the MTM posted to identify the variants so I suggest you also try checking the m.2 port physically.

Regards
