Lenovo Legion Y520 Speaker Problem

2018-12-14, 17:34 PM

My speaker isn't the same as before, it seems quiet, not clear and it's not loud as before and sounds just like a person speaking to his chin, if you know what i mean.

Problem accured when i updated my driver from the Lenovo support and that's when Dolby installed. I don't remember having Dolby before. (Dolby API SKD x2 was in my programs list).

So what i'm actually trying to find is it because of Dolby or it's it my settings, or is it tehnical. If it is Dolby, how do i get rid of it?

Here's what i've tried:

Updated driver from Device manager, Unistalled driver and restarted my computer, Reset the whole computer completely, tried changing sound enchantments, Unistalling Dolby API (came back), dowloaded the reccommended driver from the support, a troubleshoot audio run (Problem Detected: Generic Audio Driver)

Hi Davi24! Welcome to Community Forums.

How did you reset the machine to factory settings? You may try a clean installation of the operating system. Go to this link https://support.lenovo.com/my/en/solutions/ht103653 to download an ISO file of the operating system and save it to a USB. Let us know how it goes.
