I got a Lenovo Legion Y520 a few days a ago, been have nothing but trouble with it. I fixed almost everything, but I'm stuck right now. My Y520 can not use any keyboard usb or otherwise when it has booted up. I can still use my key board in bois but that seems to be it.
I've updated very since one of my drivers, with no luke. In the device manger, it is saying that something is wrong with the keyboards and Elan pointing decive but has no fixes for it. Also I just realized my mouse pad also doesn't work but my usb mouse does..... please help.

hello .. seems you may have a hardware issue, call Lenovo support as long as it is a new laptop, they will fix it for you .. the ELAN pointing device is your mouse pad actually, that's why it's not working, can you please post a screenshot for the error you got in device manager ?

1. How is it a hardware issue if the keyboard still works in Bios.
2. It's just driver errors so it's just the yellow triangle next to the name.

I have not updated the Nvidua GPU, sorry about that that was one of the things on the list for me to update. The Nvidia game ready driver was actually the very first problem I had with the pc. I will attempt to update it after Lenovo Vantage has finished it's Hardware Scan.
I have not tried unistalling the drivers. Yes the keyboard is backlit but I can not change the bright of the keyboard, unless I'm in the insital boot up.
I have reset windows a few times over the past few days for different issues. I would rather not start from 0 again right when I got almost everything working.

Alright awesome, uninstalling the drivers work!! I can use my mouse pad and keyboard again.
Last thing I got to do is update my graphics card and we're good. Fingers cross it doesn't send me into a install loop.
