Unfortunately the situation is not looking as bright as had been hoped. I need to ask those affected by the symptoms described in this thread to contact support in their country and open a service ticket. I'm sorry to have to post this because we were hoping to be able to provide a software solution but I was informed a short time ago that the option is no longer a realistic prospect.
Below is a link to the phone list, you need to enter the system name "Y530"

Alternative methods of contact can also be found on the ContactUs site

Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
You must be kidding, right ? Did you even test this before releasing it to the public ? you are the worst company ever !! I will never buy Lenovo again and I regret choosing Lenovo, as I'm really dissapointed in your product/services. You have many things to learn from the competition, Lenovo, seriously. I don't have this problem, but I had a similar problem in the past with my nvme's drive firmware update and when I posted here about it, you just ignored me. Shame on you ! Now you are telling customers to contact the service and send their laptops for battery replacement/repair, really ? I'm just shocked, you don't even know your 3rd party battery suppliers and ask people here to post infos about their batteries, like serial number or whatever. This is so annoying, really. I'm just glad I didn't installed the firmware update and that's because I don't trust you anymore. I do my research twice before installing any firmware/driver update once it's released.
Good luck with your botched machines, fellas. (just kidding, I feel sorry for you)
