You have to send it to Lenovo for battery and/or motherboard replacement

I finally resolved the issue with disconnecting wi-fi on my Lenovo y530, by replacing the network card with AX200 (wifi6).

The new card for me has better range and speed. It's a must purchase for laptops 1300$+.

The below result is with the new card :

Have Lenovo solved this problem yet?

I've tried the suggested method on page 16 for more than 30 times, but it still failed.

If anyone knows any other method, please let me know. My warranty is expired btw.

I still haven't been able to fix the problem. Now I'll try by unplugging the battery, uninstall all battery drivers and plug-in everything again. My battery report shows that the battery stoped working in June 7th of 2020. Maybe others with the same problem can check their battery reports and see if the dates match, or are closer to each other. By the way, I'm in Chile, Latin America, so, maybe the drivers updates dates are different depending on the region. I'll tell you if my last option works.

I'm in ARG, ended up buying a new battery from Amazon. No other solution worked for me at that moment. Still have the Lenovo original battery if you happen to find the solution please keep us posted.

Re:Lenovo Legion Y530 Battery Issue

I tried to solve the problem by removing the battery, uninstall the Microsoft AC Adaptor driver, then plug-in again the battery and restart, but even though the driver was installed again, it didn't work. Maybe there's an option to activate something in the BIOS? Maybe a BIOS update deactivated something related to the function of the battery?

I ran a hardware diagnostic in the Lenovo webpage, and it said the battery had no problem.

By the way, my battery report shows that the battery, and its recharging, stopped working from one day to another, and its the same date when an update was performed.

Nothing fits, it is just ridiculous.

Please, if someone has been able to fix this problem recently, we all would be so thankful.

There's still no solution to this other than replacing the battery?

How is this possible? It is just not possible that the battery died from one day to another, specially after suspicions point to an update, after wich the problem started.

Lenovo Support, please, make an official fix, or at leas a  statement, about this.

Re:Lenovo Legion Y530 Battery Issue

I have the same issue in my Lenovo Legion Y530... I have ordered new battery today and what was the surprise when I plugged a new battery and the problem is the same! New battery shows 49% and its not charging, when I remove the cable the laptop shut down. The seller sent me 3 copies of battery to try couple of them and all have the same issue.

So far its only waste of money and time with this...

If anyone has any clue or idea, please help us!

Based on my evidence I think this is a software issue, not hardware (as the battery was replaced...)

best regards,

Jacek

Try running the same faulty batterfirmware.exe but in compatibility with Windows 95 and as administrator. That's how it fixed the problem for some of us here.
