Lenovo Legion Y720 Game Issue

Recently, I downloaded Dying Light, since i had it on my Xbox and I really wanted to get it on my Laptop. So, I purchased the game and Installed it, and whenever I open it, the tab is pure black and freezes, telling me the game has stopped responding shortly after. I have been searching everywhere on the internet for a fix, and have not yet found one, so I am reaching out to EVERYONE for help. My exact model is a Lenovo Legion Y720-15IKB. I have done all of the following:


Verified integrity of game files

Uninstalled and Reinstalled the game

Updated my Graphics Card Driver

Disabled all other sound outputs


Please, if anyone, and I mean ANYONE knows a fix to this, PLEASE respond to me and help me out. I really want to play the game.

I would recommend taking a backup of your files, and do a factory reset.


Go to pcsupport.lenovo.com search with your serial number, go to "Knowledgebase and Guides" then open the User Guide, and look for the placement of the Novo button.


then, after it has finished, disable Windows driver updates:

  1. Right click the Start button and select Control Panel.
  2. Make your way to System and Security.
  3. Click System.
  4. Click Advanced system settings from the left sidebar.
  5. Select the Hardware tab.
  6. Press the Device Installation Settings button.
  7. Choose No, and then press the Save Changes button.


go to pcsupport.lenovo.com again, search with your serial number, go to the tab, drivers, and use the online tool for updating the drivers.


then update windows to latest, and install the game.
