yes, you are right.

 

I was going to try to unistall bit defender, but tbh i refuse to that. I will then wait for the update.

do you guys think we will be communicated of the update in any forms? or it will automatically update by itself?

I wouldn't count on hearing anything, seeing as it's a relativly specific problem with one brand of anti virus software.

 

I'm not sure Nerve Sense updates itself with Bitdefender installed as it can't even start, so you might need to manually check for updates to Nerve Sense/Gaming Zone 2 on the Lenovo site.

Same issue with latest version of BitDefender Free Edition. As soon as I removed BitDefender completely and rebooted, Nerve Sense started normally.

 

Definately want to see this fixed in an update. For the past serveral years, BitDefender has topped the charts of the top three AV testing and comparitives sites. I wonder what BitDefender is blocking that's throwing the monkey wrench into things, and if the Sense application's mechanism for monitoring for game start-up isn't being misinterpreted by the engine.

Yes i totally agree with you. especially with the last accidents such as wannacry, it is important that we get a good antivirus.

I have a 2 years sub with bit defender and i cannot use it. i find it sad that they are so slow with fixing this.

Add "C:\Program Files\Lenovo\Nerve Center\bin\x64\LenovoNerveCenter.exe"

to Bitdefender antivirus exceptions.

 

For me, it works perfectly.  (bitdefender total security 2017)

Glad it worked for you. Before posting in here I tried adding the .exe's and even the entire folder to the list of exceptions without any luck. Just tried again, sadly with the same result.

Same here, sad to say. :smileysad: Latest Bitdefender Antivirus Free Edition, on Windows 10 v1703. Exclusion of Nerve Sense main program folder and all contents did not allow Nerve Sense to work after reboot. Removal of Bitdefender and reboot restores Nerve Sense function, at the risk of diminished security.

I would suggest to reset the pc to factory,

 

get the latest update of nerve before you reinstall bit defender (total security 2017 paid sub)

 

then add the exception, just copy paste the directory he linked.

 

I did it in this way and it worked. However the recording does not work... for that i use the nvidia experience alt+z.

would be nice to get the recording working as well, but i did not figure it out yet.

 

Let me know if i can provide you with more info... would be nice it works for all of us in the same way

 

(pc used Legion y720, win 10 home edition)

Just wanted to let you all know that my Nerve Sense is now working again.

I haven't done anything specific besides using Lenovo Companion for updating my computer. Worth a try, if you haven't already. :)
