Hello Lenovo community!
Can i upgrade my Wi-Fi PCI-e card in my Laptop? [i5 7300HQ - 1050 2Gb]? i have an Realtek RTL8821AE card, i upgraded my internet to 1GB/s, and seems like this card does not go anything over 300Mb/s. I have researched that Intel Dual - Band 8265 wifi card can handle up to 800Mb/s, it would be fine for me.
Waiting for replies! Have a good day everyone.

I want to change my card, too, You know, I got a so-called crab card pre-installed on my newly Y730. It works as bad as others said on the internet. I met an issue that my wireless always disconnect or connect with no internet when gaming. I have to use an external USB card now. It looks like a stubborn donkey.
If you have successfully changed it, please leave me an instruction. Thank you very much.

You have to look for the disassembly guide on youtube. The 9260 card can be found on amazon.
All this is not simple, but not too complicated. There is a bit of knowledge and dexterity.

Thank you for answers, i was thinking about 9260, but found out that if you want to get those internet speeds, your router have to support 160Mhz on 5GHz. Mine does 80MHz on 5GHz, and routers with that frequency costs a lot, so i will stick to 8265. For replacement guide, check youtube videos, you will find how to do it. It's actually easy.

Of course! The 9260 supports 160mhz while the 8265 only 80mhz. But the price difference between the two cards is not high so I personally would take the 9260 for a future!
