I've some issue with my Lenovo Y520 and need assistance to solve this problem.
It's about the Ram frequency on this model according to Lenovo spec. it should run at 2400 Mhz but mine is run at 2133 Mhz as show in CPU-Z below, (1064 x 2 = roughly 2128 Mhz)
This is specification of Ram that come with the system it's Samsung and speed is rate at 2400 Mhz.
I'd installed additional Ram in to the second slot but it's also rate as 2400 Mhz so I don't think this is the cause of the problem? (Additional ram is Kingston Hyper X 8GB 2400Mhz)
Ram speed also show as 2133 Mhz in Windows tasks manager too.
If anyone have solution for my problem or anyway to adjust the ram speed to 2400Mhz please assist.

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.
Try to download the Chipset drivers for the unit from the support page.
Make sure to reboot after an update.
Or you can try to go into the BIOS - Advanced - and look for XMP, or DOCP or EOCP, whichever you find, enable it and select the right amount that it should be, this instance 2400 I believe.
Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.

Thank you for your reply,
I'd try check in BIOS setting and can't found any advance menu that can use to set the Ram speed in this laptop.
And update Intel chipset driver does noting too my Ram speed still stay at 2133 Mhz.
Maybe I've to wait for new BIOS version from Lenovo that fixed this problem.
Anyway thanks for your help.
