Re: Lenovo Y530-15ICH 144Hz Enabling

Hello guys. I bought a Lenovo Legion Y530 with 1050ti from Switzerland. I checked the panel which is 144Hz and 300nits. Today I updated BIOS and did all Windows Updates. I updated all drivers which is necessary. My only problem is using screen with 144Hz. I can play games with 1050ti but i cannot use the card on desktop. I tried to change the card but icant. Generic PnP Monitor uses Intel onboard graphics. How can i enable 144hz ? I paid 100+ CHF to upgrade to 144hz. Please help me.

I checked my model number and i see my panel is 300nit 60hz. I bought from alternate.ch and in description , i saw 300nit 144Hz. Then i bought. 60Hz version was 100 CHF cheaper.

Lenovo Y530-15ICH 144Hz Enabling

Re: Lenovo Y530-15ICH 144Hz Enabling

Nvidia GeForce works only with games. Standard applications work only with Intel GPU.

Download Intel Control Panel from Microsoft Store and check settings.

I'm not playing much. I'm a Software Engineering student. And I wanted to use 144hz on desktop and programming programs.

Re: Lenovo Y530-15ICH 144Hz Enabling

It should be available under the Windows display settings...

Right click on the desktop, go to Display Settings, then click Advanced Display Settings.

Then click on Display Adapter Properties, then click on the Monitor Tab. The dropdown should offer 144Hz (sorry, mine is only the 60Hz panel):

Tap that kudos button if I helped ^^

Re: Lenovo Y530-15ICH 144Hz Enabling

I also bought a y530 laptop but the 1060 6gb option ..it said it had a 144hz option and on the Lenovo official website also said 144hz to my exact model. checking display adapter properties no 144hz option pop up and only 60. What should I do? I specifically bought this laptop for its screen's refresh rate.

I think You should take skunks and put them into Lenovo/Motorola offices. It's an open cheat. As long as customers accept lies, corporations will grow at our expense.

Did you find out a solution? I would like to buy this laptop, but only if Windows gives me 144Hz as promissed by Lenovo

Re: Lenovo Y530-15ICH 144Hz Enabling

I have made some research among laptop producers.
This is a common thing, to give people 120/144/240 Hz displays without ability to use it outside the games.

But producers went further to foolish people. They combine ps/2 70 Hz touchpads from 90'  to those monitors.

It's like make a car with 200HP, but only on 6th gear :)

I can not understand those f...ck ups of producers. To invest a few dolars to 250 Hz touchpad? No, it would be too good for people :)

Re: Lenovo Y530-15ICH 144Hz Enabling

Sadly there isn't an actual solution.. It turns out the y530 shipped to other regions they removed the 144hz screen option from it in certain regions and still sell for the same price.. So in the MENA region the 144hz screen one doesn't exist but no seller will know that probabaly as you can only check the panel the laptop has via the model number so yes the laptop is excellent i would recommend but check the model number of the one u will be getting.
