Please change the refresh rate of your monitor screen?
Also, try updating video drivers.

All drivers are up to date
Resolution is set to 1080p and refresh rate att 60Hz
This happens only when I open lid. Screen turns on, then quickly turns off and again turns on, and this happens every time

We are sorry to hear that your issue has not yet been fixed.
Try connecting the laptop to my HD TV with HDMI cable. Then, please update the BIOS & Chipset drivers.
Also, you could try removing the CMOS battery for 10 Minutes and if possible clear the CMOS. This is easy with a desktop, but a real pain with most laptop as it requires disassembly and the "Clear CMOS" jumpers are not normally identified in user manual.
Hence, I would suggest you to visit the nearest authorised Lenovo authorised support. Since doing anything would harm the system board or might void the warranty.
Let us know how you get on.

Shashi

I would like to refresh this thread, because i have the same problem. I have the latest versions of drivers and tips above didn't help.
I think video best illustrates this problem.
EDIT:
Problem has been solved explained. This is Windows display manager issue.
