Lenovo Y720 changing F key functions

2018-01-04, 20:02 PM

Hi, I'm here because I changed out my Elan driver software for some other better ones ( Sorry Elan ). Simply, I was getting skips, jumps, terrible gesture control, and more. It was a terrible experience, espicially since the track pad is really nice in of itself. I changed out the Elan drivers, but now my F6 key, which should turn off the trackpad, doesn't do that for obvious reasons. However, by going to the settings and going to trackpad, toggling On/Off for the trackpad DOES work. So I was wondering if the F6 key could be assigned to that specific setting rather than it trying to turn the trackpad off through the driver settings. Thanks !

EDIT: I realized that the On/Off button for the trackpad is only available while I have my own drivers on here. With the Elan drivers, there's only one setting for the trackpad when not going through the Elan settings themselves. Wanted to say that in case anyone was trying to see the settings for themselves and couldn't find it.
