Lenovo Y740 PCH Diode temperature

2019-06-12, 18:36 PM

Hi Gents,

My Y740 PCH diode during gaming is go over 80 Celsius. My question is :

- Anyone have the same experience?

- Is it normal for this laptop?

- This diode has the same cooling frame together with the CPU and GPU or this one standing without cooling?

Thanks for the answers in advance.

Br,

Ferenc

Very reasonable and expected temperatures. Anything 90C+ would be when most people would be uncomfortable, though technically still safe.

You should always undervolt your laptop. You can replace the thermal paste if you have that ambition, it'll drop temperatures.
