Lenovo legion 7i BIOS issue

2021-07-20, 19:13 PM

Hey I’m in a tough spot.
Here’s what happened:

I either set a bios password I don’t remember anymore or I got a virus which has locked me out of the bios.

I would never have noticed this except I wanted to boot into a usb drive to scan for viruses and can’t.

I can’t enter the bios or boot from usb as the system thinks the usb option is disabled somehow.

Windows boots normally.

lenovo support won’t touch my issue because of their policy on password related warranty  coverage.

Is there a way to flash my bios to stock?

please help!

Thanks @Jack_Lenovo1  Would re-flashing the BIOS even reset the password? From what I understand the password must be stored in a separate non-volatile memory...so OOF?

There is no workaround for a forgotten password, and discussion that strays into this territory is not permitted in this community.

The only way to remove a BIOS supervisor/admin password is to remember it and use it in the appropriate field(s). If the password is not known, the only option is a system board replacement, for a fee.

I am sorry, but this thread is now locked.
