So when I put my pc in sleep mode, I can’t wake it up. The keyboard lights are responsive, the num lock and caps lock lights are responsive but the brightness buttons don’t work. When I reset the gpu drivers using ctrl + shift + win + B there is a sound but nothing else. I have to reboot my pc using the power button.

i have a Lenovo ideapad gaming 3 15IHU6 82K1 with an intel cpu, a nvidia gpu, 478gb nvme m.2 ssd.

Welcome to the Community Forums.

It may have something to do with your modern standby settings, The sleep states S0 & S1 could have been set on default where the CPU is still active, which explains why the fans are still on, that setting replaces the traditional S3 sleep state, where the CPU is turned off, and subsequently the CPU fans.

Go to the BIOS in that device and look for settings related to Power Management and Suspend Mode to Disable Modern Standby.

I don’t think there’s this option in my bios, I have an ideapad bios.

Sorry for the late reply.

You can go into the control panel->power settings->Select the power plan->Restore default power plan settings.

Once this is done it should revert all changes to power plans please test out sleep after this.

I'd also suggest to turn off fast boot.

Sorry but I forgot how I fixed the issue. I do think a reset is needed though.
