Network Connection Manufacturer Designed Incorrectly?

2020-09-16, 0:11 AM

I have a Gaming Laptop, Legion Y530-15ICH. During my time trying to add Static IP address to my network, I went on the connection properties from "Network and Settings." I looked at the writings, and they are placed incorrect from what I read. Are these writings manufactured incorrectly? Here is the picture.

Looks fine to me.  What about it bothers you?

Public means the the network (coffee shop, airport, ...) is public, so the laptop should be kept hidden  V/v for Private - if you consider the network private (as in your office or house) you can make the laptop visible on it.

Thank you. I understand it now. I think I was overthinking it because of the two words public and private =D

Private for your own like your own connection and computer.

Public for example out in Public but with security

Thanks again
