No Wi-Fi available after waking Legion 5 from Sleep

2021-11-25, 11:48 AM

quite often when i wake up my Legion 5 pro i cant connect to wi-fi. There is absolutely no network available (usually there is around 20 near me).

to me it looks like wireless network adapter doesnt wake up, even by checking it  and running troubleshoot system finds no fault. I tried manually disable/enable adapter

and its no use, even running system restart doesnt help!

Only procedure i found that helps is Hard power off, by holding power button until shutdown and start fresh. I hate doing that to my hardware and hope for advice

on solving this

Hi

The full 10 character MTM may help.

Maybe letters A / B could help.

Rename 0toF.txt 0toF.bat

Even try F

I think the issue is the wifi card they put in the system - I have now swapped it out for an intel card - However I did get this issue to fix (i think!) before i swapped it out.

Go to device manager - network adaptors - right click on the wifi adaptor -properties - power management - unclick "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"

I think what happens is that it gets turned off when computer goes to sleep but for some reason its not turned back on and then needs a full power cycle to get it working.
