[Overheating] CPU I7-8750H on Brand new Y530

2018-12-13, 0:50 AM
Hey everybody I'm new here ,

There is not much to explain , I just got a brand new Y530 with a I7-8750H and a GTX 1050Ti , My Temps on Idle are between 56-66°C which is abnormal , On game... and this is where it gets frightening : the cpu reaches 85-93°C , this with activating the Fan boost and trying to give to my laptop a proper surface as to let the air circulate properly.

:( I've heard that the I7-8750H has this problem because they are brand new and 'not ready' for laptops , someone has any suggestions ?
Should I turn it back ?

Thanks for the answers.

8750H runs hot. Undervolt CPU (and GPU too). Consider doing repaste

Does undervolting void the warranty ?

The GPU keep a decent temperature even while stressing it : 50-55°C... the proof that the problem is not from the cooling.
