Problems after Bios update to version FSCN18WW (Lenovo legion 5 15ARH05H)

2021-09-17, 7:48 AM

Hi everyone.

I just updated my bios to the newest version FSCN18WW, but after the update the Conservative mode started to deactivate itself after a couple reboots, the backlight of the keyboard started to deactivate after the passage from automatic mode to quiet mode (only while using battery power) and the usb ports enabled themselves to work when the device is off (when the device is plugged in). I read some posts and a lot of users managed to solve the problems by downgrading the bios to version FSCN13WW. I'd like to know: is it safe to downgrade the bios, or should I do something else, or contact the support for help?

Thanks for your attention, I hope I wrote everything correctly!

Unfortunately you cannot roll back the bios version unless you have ENABLED "BIOS Back Flash" in the bios settings prior to updating it.

But @Jack_Lenovo1   has advised in previous like posts, it COULD brick your laptop if it goes wrong.

Thanks for your reply, @teccky ! As suggested, I won't rollback to the previous BIOS version. However, I found a way to "bury" the problem.
This issue seems to be connected with the Bluetooh: those problems only occur when it is off, and if you keep it on all the time the computer works normally.
It's not a real solution, but it's something. I really hope they'll manage to solve this annoying bug.
