I would like to do a ram upgrade on my Lenovo y720 gaming laptop. Is it possible to install a new ram stick from a different manufacturer and still get dual configuration? I'm thinking of getting this one:
Or do I need to buy two new of them? The ram that followed the computer is not availible in stock it seems.

You need to buy module of the same type - maning the same standard (e.g. DDR4), working frequency (e.g. 2400MHz) and timmings (e.g. CL17). Following modules are officially supported:
Please provide what module/modules you're currently have. You can use HWInfo to get such an information.

Thanks! Right now I have M471A1K43CBI-CRC but that model seems to be out of stock everwhere in my country. Thats why I'm trying to find out if another ram stick will work together with my current with dual channel enabled.

OK, so you have Samsung M471A1K43CB1-CRC, which is DDR4 8GB 1Rx8 PC4-19200S 2400MHz CL17 module. Crucial module which you've shown in your first post should be compatible.
