Re:RGB keyboard software for Lenovo Legion creator 7i

Hello an update on my part

I have sent a pm to Wangyanyan (Lenovo Staf) and asked him to come back on this topic. His answer in previous post on page 4 was wrong. On the Lenovo sites it is clearly stated that the Lenovo C7i has an RGB keyboard that works with the iCUE software. There are even serveral screenshots of this as proof. This is false information by Lenovo or a problem with the softwar of the C7i that Lenovo has to fix. I asked him to contact his supervisors and get this fixed.

I still haven't received any mail back since my last mail of January 12th to support. I have send a new mail with the same information on it.

This is one of the most viewed topics with the most comments and canot be ignored anymore. Keep this going!

With kind regards,

Thomas.

Hi all,

it's indeed disappointing to see no progress in this topic.

Should be very easy to implement the Creator 7i into the compatibility list as the hardware is basically identical.

We are a company that bought this product for Lightroom etc and would have used the coloring to emphasize macros.

As this feature was also advertised in Germany, we really expect this to be implemented to bolster our productivity.

Lenovo customer service is hopefully onto it to help all of us!

Please take care of your valued customers that bought your flagship product!

Thanks!

Philipp

Hi

Thank you Philipp for adding your feedback on this thread.
If not already done, please contact directly the professional customer support as well.
I think a company's complain could have more impact for Lenovo.

On my side I have just taken the warranty upgrade to Premium, I will try to submit a ticket to this service.

For information, to check for Corsair iCUE updates, you can search for "patch notes" on Corsair's forum :
https://forum.corsair.com/v3/search.php
Current latest version is v3.37.140, and Corsair creates a new thread with included updates when they release a new iCUE version.

I hope to see Legion C7i soon in the update list of a new release !

Same problem here with the "'No device connect" message in the iCUE software (version 3.37.140) on our company Legion C7i and yes the machine is still to this day advertised on at least the Dutch Lenovo website with the future "Corsair® iCUE RGB-verlichting".

Especially for creators / developers it would be very handy to use the iCUE software for example light macro keys. The five different RGB patterns / effects (Fn+Space) are completely useless in real live use, and only for showroom purposes of the laptop itself.

Today I made a call to Lenovo support, a ticket was made and a engineer would call me back in 1-2 days...

I also agree that all Legion C7i owners should make a support ticket for iCUE keyboard software support as the product is advertised iCUE compatible.

The support of corsair say me the corsair Icue software didn't include files for support lenovo hardware. So i don't think it's helpfull to check update from corsair. https://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=202607
