UGLY logo new BIOS y700

2016-09-13, 9:21 AM

So there is a new bios update CDCN52WW for Y700-15ISK, Y700 Touch-15ISK, Y700-17ISK which has "Workaround to fix ACPI error". But please lenovo the new logo is pure ugliness. The old one was slick and elegant. Why did you add this ugly background? Please remove it. I am thinking downgrading to older Bios Version. This looks so unprofessional

Dear Lenovo,

Please please get rid of the HIDEOUS Lenovo Pinata Color Explosion you guys have added to the bios with update cdcn53ww.

Its GROSS, looks like vomit and an explosion of color. Hideous! Why would anyone want to see that HORRIBLE colored background behind the Lenovo logo? please get a new design director, or tell what ever programmer came up with this to stick to programming!!

How can I edit this back to the standard white type on black. This has to be the most disgusting logo I have seen since the 80's!!!

Mod's Edit: Merged this post with existing discussion.

why care so much for a logo than more important feature missing like:
skylake Intel Speed Shift, cant disable hyperthreading
fact that turbo ulitization is so basic if it cant kepp 3.1ghz jumps straight to 2.5ghz no dynamic turbo clock change to 2.9ghz 2.7ghz for example like my friend asus gl752vw has all those features, that can be unlocked with a bios update
and you care about a logo that vanishes in 1 sec

Well if they can't enable new features (by the way speedshift is battery hungry) then at least they should not change the logo to a monstrous thing

Yes, if your laptop is always on High Performance power plan.

There is a separate thread for speedshift

"Although Speed Shift seems to have a slight edge, it is very small and would fall within the margin of error on this test. Some tasks may see a slight improvement in efficiency, and others may see a slight regression, but Speed Shift is less of a power savings tool than other pieces of Skylake. Looking at it another way, if, for example, the XPS 13 with Skylake was to get 15 hours of battery life, Speed Shift would only change the result by about 7 minutes."
