Y520 External Monitor Causing Low FPS

2018-12-26, 5:19 AM

Recently i recieved an acer predator MNT XB240H and connected it to my pc using a VGI cord through a kensington USB 3.0 docking station. After i connected the monitor i decided to play League Of Legends and noticed that my FPS had dropped from 80 to 20this has been the case with only my games while watching youtube my frames are perfect. i experimented around and havent been able to fix the issue the only way i have fixed it is by disconnecting my monitor and using my pc monitor.

Press WindowsKey+P and set it to "Second Screen Only" . I think what's happening is that your graphics card is having to render two separate images of the game to each screen, pretty much halfing your frame rates. Let me know what happens.
