Y530 Backlight Bleed

I've bought a brand new Lenovo Legion Y530 (GTX1060).

The IPS screen has backlight bleeding. Anyone suffers this problem?

I examined the laptop and i think the bezel is pinching the screen so tight?

Is there a fix?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Y530 Backlight Bleed

Hi mturatci,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

There are some reported screen bleed here in the community. Depending to the extent, it would be best to have it reported to technical support for options as early as possible. You can take a photo of the screen on different angles and background colors for them to evaluate.

There are times that this maybe due to some tight screws but it would be better to have the tech guys with you if you are to loosen it a bit for guidance and warranty oversight.

I hope this helps answer your query.

Update us how it goes.

Regards

Re: Y530 Backlight Bleed

You said that "this maybe due to some tight screws".

Do lenovo ever final check with devices. Any quality control per device or produce and dump them to customers?

If i send my device to service center it'll take 3 weeks to comeback.

I've bought a brand new device but it is fail product. Shame Lenovo.

Re: Y530 Backlight Bleed

Hi mturatci,

Greetings.

In all tech equiptment are standards being maintained. Strict certification are set to those with International standards like laptops with major companies. Considerations such as vibrational frequencies during transport is an example which can loosen screws (so screw should be tight).

Further reviews on screen bleed are usual among gadgets with LCD screen being reported which would show that such event is not brand/manufacture limited so it can be said that such is an isolated event.

In effect, manufacturer warranty goes with the machines in most times. Store return options for the devices are also available for consumers to a certain duration. Discuss with your tech on the best option both parties can agree on.

Regards

Re: Y530 Backlight Bleed

How can we find a solution then. It's impossible to find a proper device with IPS screen (without bleed).
