There are two types of M.2 SSD:

(1) SATA

(2) NVMe/PCIE

You have purchased a SATA M.2 SSD, but your laptop supports only the NVMe/PCIE type of M.2 SSD.

If you can, you should return the SATA SSD to the retailer, and exchange it for an NVMe/PCIE version (likely to cost more), or ask for a refund. Note: some retailers charge a restocking fee, or don't allow returns for equipment that is not faulty.
