Seems very weird to me, maybe you're monitoring the max clocks and wattage?

I used MSI afterburner and rivatuner to monitor the wattage of the CPU while playing some GTA V and while using silent the CPU spiked to 31 watts if I remember correctly but usually stayed around the 25 watt mark, but I could be totally mistaken.

When I have time I will check with another monitor so I can see realtime temps and watts while playing in fullscreen on laptops own display. But I'm sure that clocks get over 4Ghz while playing with silent mode and wattage max has been around 30-50W. And most important game FPS on Doom and for example BioShock Infinite remains well over 100fps most of the time.

Managed to fix the issue.

I repasted it with Kryonaut and it made a world of difference. Now in cinebench I get instantly 72 degrees (70 watts) in average mode and 81  (90 watts) in performance mode. Temps are wonderful now

Good think that this helped you! Unfortunatetly it does not help me, since I can't repaste my CPU (don't know how, and can't risk warranty). Only possibility is if Lenovo makes a callback and does this under warranty. But I don't think they will.
