Y700 15 ISK crash/freeze DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION

2016-03-01, 19:15 PM

I have Lenovo Y700 15ISK with Intel Core i5-6300HQ/8GB/1.0TB/NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M. Windows 10 Pro. v30BIOS.

Laptop is not functioning like it should.. I just get random freeze/crashes once in a while. and then It's going to blue screen of DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION and restarts, or either I need to do it manually by holding the power key.

Luckily I saved my documents when the crash occured just randomly while I was browsing.

Any solution to it ?

Attaching foto of the error.

Hopefully it stopped for me and I didin't see this crash for a while now.

What I did:

* Update NVIDIA drivers.

* Run antivirus scan

* Run Malwarebytes scan

* Run CCleaner and Registry cleaner.

* Run windows updates

* Disable two identical dolby sound applications because there is three (startup manager)

That's pretty much what I did, hope it helps in any case.

Thank you for your repley!

Unfortunately those didn't work for me. I already contacted with Lenovo's customer service center and sent my laptop to them. Hope this time works!

That's sad that you need to send new laptop for repairs already. But it's absolutely some interfering with hardware if this error pops up. Hope you'll get your new laptop soon.
