Re: Y700 15isk 80nv HDMI version

It looks like both the discrete and integrated GPUs support some version of HDMI 1.4, however, I don't have any monitors that go above 60Hz to see if it supports higher.

Unfortunately, I can't find any tests of running 120Hz off a 960m, so you might have to be the guinea pig to give it a try! Let us know how it works out!

Re: Y700 15isk 80nv HDMI version

HDMI 1.4 does not support 120hz. It supports 1080p@60hz in 3D, which is sometimes referred to as 120hz in 3D. But in 2D, it cannot. They do this by sending two 1080p images in a single packet, at a rate of 60hz, and splits those two images into two frames on the monitor side. This doesn't work for 2D.

this is the end of buying 144hz monitor Smiley Very HappySmiley Very HappySmiley Very Happy
