I have a Y700 Touch-15ISK 80NW000PUS with a damaged screen. To explain the initial damage - I put my laptop bag down for a moment after arriving home, and it got stepped on pretty good after my brother-in-law tripped and fell on it. The screen has a few hairline cracks, and blackness has been slowly spreading from the cracks. The touch screen is still fully functional, even under the black areas. I am posting to see if anyone has had a similar problem and had to replace the screen. I am a little short on funds, so I'm looking for an estimate on the cost of fixing it, as well as any recommendations as to where to buy a replacement screen (and which model to buy - I had a link saved to what I thought was the correct option but I've forgotten exactly where it's saved ) I purchased the computer through Best Buy, so I plan on taking it over to Geek Squad, but I just wanted to see if anybody has had experience with this.
Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions!

Welcome to the Community Forums.
Use your serial number here on the parts lookup page to get the specific part number for your LCD panel.
As an example, I used 80NW000PUS and showed part number: 5D10H34772 LGD LP156WF6-SPK1 FHD AG S NB.
You may also check with other resellers using the same part number online like Ebay or Amazon for pricing and compatibility but always check on return options.
Best Buy service center would also be able to get a price quote for you (part + labor service).
Here is the hardware manual if you have the tools to do it yourself else check also with your trusted local service center or IT guy for their price quote.
Hope this help answer your query.

Just a rough guess but I've recently replaced the whole touch screen assembly on another laptop (13.3" FHD IPS) and the cost was $75 sourced from Taobao, so I guess it'd have to be at least double that in the US.

This is the author of the original post you responded to (liss_lam) - I could not access the original account I made for some reason. Just wanted to say thank you for the quick response and helpful suggestions! I am still short on funds, but I will update this thread when I am able to fix it. Thanks again!
