Y700 Touch-15ISK Hissing while using headphones.

When I connect my headphone to the headphone jack theres a really annoying hissingsound even when the sound is loud. I have tried other headphones.

Start your media player (Do not start the play!) ..just a new fader in Windows Mixer.

Realtek Audio Driver 6.0.1.7786

Re: Y700 Touch-15ISK Hissing while using headphones.

Hi there, Azek -

Thank you for writing in to the Lenovo Forum - happy to have you here today.

Have you tried to remove/replace the audio jack into the output area properly? Sometimes it gets loose and it's normal that you hear buzzing sound. Also, please, check if the headphones are ok.

Update us how it goes.

Regards,

 Well .. it's very cool

Re: Y700 Touch-15ISK Hissing while using headphones.

I assume you're using onboard audio that’s integrated on the motherboard. Hissing is present on all onboard sound chips from my experience. This is due from the lack of a good SnR ratio (Signal to Noise) and possible interference.

First of all, make sure it’s set for headphones in the settings. Turn your media player, game, etc. to med-high/max volumes within their settings and don't have the actual volume of the computer up too much.

Also, turn off the wireless adapter & notice id hissing exist.

Update us how it goes.

Re: Y700 Touch-15ISK Hissing while using headphones.

I know about the problem of SnR !) I doubt it. It's not that kind of case.
very simple experiment -> make sure if your microphone settings "Listen to this device" disabled / open Camera app/The focus should now shift to "video recording". Yes, and it all makes sense now.
I'm waiting for drivers with good performance and working perfectly.))
