I would recommend a static discharge by unplugging AC, pressing the power button till the laptop shuts down and keep holding for around 30 seconds. Secondly be sure to have the intel chipset drivers installed and finally i would recommend letting windows install the GPU drivers within windows update, and then updating them if necessary

It would be better to do a warranty claim since there might actually be a hardware issue

Re: Y700 nvidia drivers

Hey y'all! It appears that we are all experiencing the same issue, and I know exactly whats happening.

SO as it seems. Windows 10 Home Edition (What Y700 users have) is seeming to try to download a NVidia driver on its own through windows update. This installation is for some reason failing, resulting in the card freaking out, thus the "Code 43" and warning triangle in the device manager.

There is infact an option to disable said updates in System>Advanced System Settings>Hardware>Device Installation Settings> No.

However, despite this, It still was attempting do download said driver. I was offered a factory reset by lenovo support, but really if its this common I don't believe its an error on the local side. If you look in Settings>Updates&Security, you should see the failed installs. You can also see this in EventViewer

My solution, is NOT a smart one, but It's only temporary until I figure out a real fix (or lenovo does). Windows update is a service. So I went into msconfig, and disabled it. Again, it's not an ideal solution, but I personally don't mind at the moment. Hope this helped, and I hope to hear from Lenovo!
